Read this part even if you skip the rest. TallyRig is a calculation aid for reference and cross-checking. It is not certified, approved or warranted for operational decisions on a live well. Always verify your inputs and outputs independently, and follow your company's procedures, your well programme and your training. If a number from this app disagrees with your procedure, your procedure wins.
By downloading or using TallyRig ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
What the app is
TallyRig is a calculator. It applies published, industry-standard oilfield formulas to numbers you type in, and shows you the working. It does not measure anything, connect to any rig system, or know anything about your well beyond what you enter.
Your responsibility
- You are responsible for the accuracy of every value you enter, including its units.
- You are responsible for judging whether a formula is appropriate for your situation.
- You are responsible for verifying every result before acting on it.
- Nothing in the app replaces well control training, certification, a well programme, competent supervision, or your company's procedures.
Formulas are implemented against standard published references and covered by automated tests, but no software is free of defects. Treat a result the way you'd treat a number from a colleague's calculator: useful, worth cross-checking.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any result is accurate, complete or suitable for your purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, production, equipment, data or wellbore, arising out of or in connection with your use of the app — however caused and regardless of the theory of liability. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions, so parts of the above may not apply to you.
Purchases
The app is free to download. Pro is a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription, and it does not expire. It unlocks the additional calculators plus save, share, PDF reports, calculation history and iCloud sync.
All purchases are processed by Apple and governed by Apple's terms. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — request one through reportaproblem.apple.com. Use "Restore Purchases" in the app to recover Pro on a new device with the same Apple ID.
Use of the app is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.
Acceptable use
Don't reverse-engineer, decompile or redistribute the app, resell access to it, or present its output as a certified or independently verified engineering document.
Changes to the app and these terms
Features may be added, changed or removed between versions. These terms may be updated; the current version always lives at this URL with its date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Covered separately on the privacy page. Short version: no account, no ads, no tracking, and your calculations stay on your device.
